The Kids in Special Situations team spent a long time on rebranding efforts- almost a full year. The next major hurdle was deciding when to launch, but fortunately, that took almost no time at all. Today, April 2nd, 2017, is World Autism Awareness Day. The United Nations established this annual day of awareness nine years ago in order to increase recognition, understanding, and acceptance of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We are an organization dedicated to improving the lives of children with high-functioning autism, so we simply couldn’t think of a better day to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter for KISS.
We would like to extend a big thank you to Edward Kim for his incredible design services, as well as to the volunteers who have been working tirelessly to help KISS be the most impactful organization it can be. We are so proud to have you work alongside us, and we look forward to your continued support in providing friendship and hope to the lives of all children with cognitive disabilities.
